Four-star Miami Southridge wide receiver Rodney Scott committed to Miami on Monday. It didn’t take long for some of the most obvious reasons he’s highly touted to come to light.
That’s Scott in the video above, faking a defender completely out of his shorts. That is one nasty head feint, made all the more impressive by his fancy but supremely sure footwork. And in case you fear this may have been a one-time move for the gusto at Nike’s The Opening event in Miami, here’s Scout’s take on Scott’s strengths and weaknesses.
“(Scott is) slippery at the line of scrimmage, and does an outstanding job of sticking his foot in the grass and making defenders miss with a head and shoulder shake. He has nice length and flashes the ability to high-point the football away from his body as well. Scott also shows good concentration and awareness when making difficult catches and dragging his feet in bounds.”
