Texas’ football coaching staff has continued to heavily recruit Kameron “Kam” Martin, one of the nation’s top running back recruits, despite the fact that the four-star prospect is a longtime Baylor commitment and even celebrated his college choice with an enormous tattoo of the Baylor logo on his arm. Well, if there was ever any question that the Longhorns might wrest Martin away from Baylor’s clutches, it evaporated on Monday when Martin viscerally criticized the school’s coaching staff when the assistant who led his recruitment departed for another job.
Martin’s comments were brought on by Tommie Robinson’s decision to return to USC after two seasons in Austin. That meant that UT will need a new running backs coach, and one who has almost certainly not interacted with Martin to this point. That was enough for Martin to offer up a loud critique of Texas’ staff and renew his commitment to Baylor on Twitter.
